Lost Moon Radio Episode 12

amazing stuff from Lost Moon as usual. irreverent, mellifluous and just absurd enough for all generations to appreciate (except children of course). if you've never seen a Lost Moon show, what are you waiting for? if you have, this one is just as wonderful as the rest. very funny stuff and definitely set to be a stand out again at this year's Fringe.... full review

Porter's Macbeth "a parody"

It's no wonder this show has a perfect score. It's combination of movement, sound and text was extraordinary. Being able to tell a 3 hour play in 55 minutes is no easy feat, but to do it with such a symbiotic balance of light and dark, comedy and drama is astounding. Porter's Macbeth under Turner Munch's skilled direction left me in awe.... full review

Maizy: A Fable

This imaginative and enticing production had the groundwork for something great. Julie Civiello is enchanting and charming as Maizy, a fairy trying to make it big in Hollywoods. It shows the middle part of her life as she battles bad jobs, egos, friendship and fame on her way to stardom. As she makes her way up in life, things still move on at home, a place that she loses touch with. The set dressing served well to set us in the world of the play but I think that a smaller more intimate theater w... full review

DOG YEARS (aka Fear Factor: Canine Edition)

Beautiful and poetic with just enough humor to keep us in it, Canine Edition all in all is a terrific show. John Grady is a giving performer, from the moment he walks on stage you can feel he is with you, he wants you to take the journey with him. His humor comes in both the physical and verbal and he weaves it within his dramatic tale seamlessly. I'm a crier, and this show pulled tears from me. The show left us with something to remember as my friend and I talked about our relationship to animal... full review

Ineffable

Charming, delightful, intelligent and hilarious. These 2 clowns are seriously talented comedians, who have built one hell of a death party. Their commitment to their craft is inspirational as they glide in and out of the audience, making us not just a passive listener but a part of the journey. Their show is clean, sharp and effective but not simple, it deals with the weighty ideas of death with both poignancy and fervor. Guaranteed to make you laugh, this is a solid show all around.... full review

Girl Band in the Men's Room

Girls Band in the Men's Room is full of sharp images that display a well executed story about the challenges of art vs. business and how a group of female friends and artists react to impending success. The acting is very tight with the ladies living moment to moment for almost all of their journey, which more then makes up for the minor shortfalls of the script. An excellent show for music and theater lovers alike, I recommend going to see this Fringe show.... full review

British Invasion

I only caught 2 comedians on Friday, June 18, late night and they were fuckin' funny. The first was the host, he has great timing, was relaxed and confident on stage. The second was drunk off his ass but was still very astute, his best material on Bear Grills. Sloshed with liquor but brimming with british pride, he courageously weaved his way through his 15 minutes of material. I was mocked 2x for my white jacket and I always love being a part of a show, even if it is at my own expense. Good... full review
