Obviously Michael

Clever, fun, pure, well put together! I really, really enjoyed watching this production. I was left hoping it'd last longer. I wanted to know more about these characters and what happened to them growing up. We get hints of Michael's new job, but don't move beyond - I believe - the 3rd grade. The show is a great set up for who this boy is, who his friends are, and the world he learns to share with those who finally allow him to open up to them. It's a touching story without getting se... full review

Really fun! Fun characters, fun scenarios. I had a hard time sympathizing the two love-birds - the show pokes fun at people with unrealistic expectations yet the characters demand our sympathy ... kind of tough for me defend. The most sympathetic character, played by Tay Allyn, takes the most shit from the other characters. Well directed, well acted, I just wish the characters treated each other better, or that there was better justification or a bigger payoff for watching these characters ri... full review

A veeery, very, very sweet show. Wonderful acting and singing. Very sweet. Difference between like it and love it for me is just the content, the show itself. My mom would LOVE it!... full review

I left this show feeling refreshed, regrounded, and reignited. Michael Kass' story telling is unbelievable and enlightening. This is more than a one-man show. I'll explain: We are an audience seeking inspiration, in just as much of a way as Michael was on his trip to Peru. I was swept away from start to finish. I left relaxed, happy with life, and with a better sense of self. And I seriously slept better than night and woke up refreshed! I mean, seriously! What kind of show can do th... full review

This is a VERY fun piece. I would introduce this to new comedic acting students much in the way that I was first introduced to David Ives. Totally fun. Totally relevant. I definitely recommend it!... full review

Total fun, total commitment, total energy, total package. I was a little skeptical at the opening number, but the actors won me over quickly. The story felt alive and was as exciting for the characters on stage as it was to watch from the audience. It's a great piece, and the company brought wonderful life to it. The show's text is clever and cute and fun and funny and totally exciting. I left the show singing about how I'd rather be "9 people's favorite thing." I found the girls in the... full review

Philosophy in the Boudoir

I appreciate what happened. And it definitely happened. "Not my thing" would be a good way to describe it. It's shocking, libertinesque, it's a lot of nudity. It still just wasn't my thing. Very presentational, somewhat disconnected. There are some excellent demonstrations of complete control over the human body, as well as a particularly satisfying scene presenting the "rules" of the libertine. Otherwise, I was put off by the plot. It did allow me to see my very first "shit eating grin."... full review
