Raised By Gays and Turned Out OK!

i loved this story. it was a humbly told show, no bells and whistles, but elizabeth is adorable and funny and very unsuspecting. she expresses this story, a very interesting and colorful one at that, in such a clear way... we love her and feel for her and her father and even her dad's 'pal', dale. But most of all we love elizabeth, cuz even though she looks so deceptively normal, underneath, there's flair (as evidenced by the humor), and why wouldn't there be? after all, she's her father's daught... full review

Doing Bernice

Eileen is a true blue lyricist! she basically has written a solo musical about her mother's life. There are characters... and humor... but her real strength stems from her lyrics... great rhymes! funny and smart, too! ... full review

Lovely

i'm a fan of kelsey goldberg. I like seeing her around and I was glad to go see her onstage. but insofar as lovely, some minor things can help this production and make our actress look like the star she's meant to portray. this show could have (and can still be!) upped in a major way with the lights (it's a purgatory of sorts, right? couldn't it be cold or timeless looking? or hell, hot, just choose!)... I also think the idea of putting the door on a wobbly frame in the center of that adorable Ru... full review

No Traveler: A Comedy About Suicide

yeah... I gotta say... you really oughtta see this show. penny is a physical comedian, a clown of sorts, but she is also a writer and a beautiful performer and creates a world and has fun in it like you wouldn't believe. Comfortable in this show, she is able to enter the worlds with a joy and a freedom but yes, a precision (penny, how the hell do you fall in the bucket like that?), you know what, i'm going to shut up now. just get your ticket. you're in exceptional hands.... full review

The 7th Annual One-Man Show World Championships

total fan of this show... liked the characters for the most part... but i personally loved the 'challenge'. funny concept! obviously one person show fodder has been going on for years, even within our own solo community, but this show did a great job. The only place where it falters is with some sort of message that the haughty 'artistic' dude is just an ass and why does he have a right to share... or some such thing... which frankly, I dunno. I think we all come to do solo shows for different re... full review

The Devil You Say

i found her puppets mesmerizing... and the devil's ruby eyes, boney fingers and lanky body were quite alluring from my front row seat. watching this piece kind of made me wish i could see robin and all her loveliness talk (she's hidden, nor does she speak), but apparently, that may be in the works for her next show which excites me. All in all, if you're into puppetry and seeing a master craftsman at work, you know where the devil is. ... full review

NELL GWYNNE: A DRAMATICK ESSAYE ON ACTING AND PROSTITUTION

what can i say about bella? i thought she was a delight, a sprite, and her show will make you interested in history! plus, she makes a great looking wench/actress... and... a PRINCE! personally, i could watch about three of these at the same time with varying times and centuries and call it a day! She's got this form down, and I can only imagine the other worlds she has created. All in all, the direction was excellent (the plague part... pulease!), the show was tight, the set, cozy and elaborate,... full review

MY GAY HUSBAND

i love a lot about this show, but I'm not gonna lie... I want to see the choreographed opening theme song number!!! you have such a big cast, and it's ripe with opportunities. two, I want you to turn up the gay on the set a notch! Love the beds, love the oven mitt, but I want more GAY! say even a tablecloth, perhaps? Some of the acting was top notch, I'm a total fan of the writing (the apron switch n' stuff... really smart), and I love the idea of a new dick for each show... but... Iet's not mak... full review

That Shitty Sweater

this show was like a warm fuzzy. i felt like i was in good hands right off the bat with totally adept performers who know their style and do their 'thing', and together, they really complimented each other. for me, it really was a great show to start off the fringe. ... full review

a veteran performer with a lot to say, richard charms and makes you feel like you're part of his inner circle. honestly, he makes one liners look easy (and they're hhhhhard!). A delightful dude with charisma, passion for his craft, with a healthy dose of neuroses... you can't help but fall for richard. And you leave knowing, whatever role he gets, he's gonna make the most of it.... full review
