Susan Tierney

this woman is no joke. she's riveting, haunting, and definitely proves the fact that less is more. Susan can say so much with just one little tweak in her movement, and it's fascinating to watch, not to mention, listen to! I know her run is over for the fringe, but I just have to say, this woman is the real deal. Her voice unique. Her style engaging. She's really something to see. And if you missed her this year, I hope you catch her in a theatre soon. She's someone to learn from!... full review

Cookie & The Monster

i really enjoyed Cookie And The Monster, and as someone who has created many solo shows, I loved seeing the world come alive around Cookie. The show has a rhythm of it's own and it takes a dark turn, but the turn, for me, as a 14 year old who was hospitalized due to some of the chaos that Cookie goes through is so relatable. I felt for cookie and admired her strength, as some of my monsters still keep me up at night. At one point in time, I experienced a moment that seemed very graphic novel-esqu... full review

The Inside Edge of the World

I'm not going to say I understand everything that was happening in this show, (cuz once I hear a talking dog I think immediately of David Berkowitz, which might be the point)... but one thing's for sure, you will watch a talented guy go back and forth between characters and a crazy story with such assuredness and fluidity, the story can take a back seat. This Michael fella is no joke. One of the strongest actors I've seen on the stage this fringe. And the directing was very well done. The opening... full review

Am I a Grownup Yet?

greyson is an interesting storyteller... deep, yet funny... stand-up-ish yet artistic... it's like you're in someone very interesting's basement and listening and watching them share about their life. I'm not sure what path she is pursuing off stage, but I can only hope that she is testing the waters with her strengths, and I look forward to seeing a follow up show next year about some other topic. That being said, I did think there were many aspects about her show that were quirky and screenplay... full review

Zip Ties

i thought the writing of this piece was fantastic, and truly some of these young'uns on the stage are gonna do some good things. The play was fast, quick witted, and at times it's in the zone. The play perked UP when the irish guy came onstage... (not just cuz he was good looking and talented, easy folks!) but honestly, for me, when he came out, he brought the others up to his level. (this could have had more to do with general urgency, and some stunning gun shots, but it's something to note). Al... full review

charming les... along with performance arty and dialect queen marlena... together on stage, but... separate! An easily digestible show with unique perspectives, travels, adventures, heart, and an artful way to share all the miles and terrain one can cover in life... on stage! all in all, if u ever find yourself hitchhiking, u'd be in safe hands if picked up by Les or Marlena! Or let's just say... you will be entertained. Safety is relative!... full review

Booze, Balls and Bluegrass: A Daughter's Journey

this is a lovely show by a talented, comfortable actress with true chops! Here characters are spot on... (some of the best I've seen in a long time), her writing is great, and her insight is perfect. Not too much, not too little. A beautiful show about a father and daughter... and a woman who's at her lowest and what transpires to get her back on her feet. Wonderfully directed and not a moment wasted. ... full review

this is an amazing show. a beautiful show. and if do say so, one of my favorites. ernest is so... earnest... he's true to his name, not to mention a hell of a performer, natural and full of love for mankind. Often, I notice people in the arts who don't notice things, and I'm perturbed, but ernest notices everything. and his insight isn't paltry... it's deep and beautiful and funny and magical, because he sees the magic in people. he didn't even have photos due to tech issues, but honestly, he doe... full review

Little Tiny Orphans

molly is a strong performer, and this show is an fun one. (my favorite part i think is the dog running through the natal unit)... but that makes me remember the babies, which was sort of painful... then I'm reminded of her characters... of which there are a good handful, some of which were really well done. molly's story was unique, detailed and filled with humor... and since i have an especially soft spot for all eastern european characters, and jesus freaks, (and apparently, ex-jesus freaks)I r... full review
