Show Me Your Dick: A lifetime of dating in larger body

andrew phillips · June 18, 2026 certified reviewer
Cara has great command of the stage and I think could present a compelling show about anything which is why it is so effective that her show explores something so specific. Cara is smart and hot but first and foremost she is funny. And that is necessary to balance the horrors of the dicks. ... full review

HFF26: Mid-Festival Artist Mixer @ Fringe HQ

Playback

andrew phillips · June 15, 2026 certified reviewer
I did enjoy Playback. I think it’s a really great representation of the zeitgeist without playing tropes for laughs. There is comedy and that comes from real lives in character moments and well crafted and delivered jokes. The story itself is layered and grows more intense as the play chugs along. While the piece does feel so current I am certain it can be something that lasts as a portrait of this moment in culture. ... full review

COFFEE DATE

Coffee Date has high energy right out of the gate and maintains it. The madcap energy has delightful elements of a farce but also feels comfortable like a sitcom of the same genre a modern update of Three’s Company or Frasier.... full review

DADDY ISSUES

What an honor it must be to receive a letter from Waldner. Someone so articulate and honest. In a successful solo show the performer has the opportunity to share their deeply personal story and hope it connects with the audience be that through humor, familiarity, or specificity. Spencer succeeded in all three. Watching this show is getting to know him but also connecting us to each other. ... full review

Amazing Graves

Did I enjoy Amazing Graves? I sure did! Each play had some great laughs and incredible performances. I hate how you dress is a clever dark comedy, paired well with Our Cemetery which is, like its inspiration, travels some universally relatable truths! ... full review

1 Year Later…I DO Have a Fringe Show (For Reals!)

andrew phillips · June 11, 2026 certified reviewer
I can confirm, Trevor does have a fringe show. What I appreciate about any art is when the artist accomplishes what they set out to do. That feels true of Trevor. He also seems to be drawing on his own lore for a self referential meta performance. ... full review

Out for Delivery

A beautifully weird and aesthetically consistent stage picture sets the tone for an evening with our hosts. Whomst among us hasn’t hit “add to cart” to try and fill the void? Playful discomfort keeps the audience engaged as Lissa builds a large complex world with some junk she ordered on her phone. It’s funny, charming, and yeah it’s weird. ... full review

The Uterus Party

Reina is a force. She has a strong presence the moment she steps on stage. Dressed like a human Jessica Rabbit this solo performance is a raw and revealing work with emotional highs and lows and moments of pure comedy. ... full review
