It is rare that I notice the direction and writing of a play first. The dialogue was sharp, witty and had a beautiful rhythm. The direction helped the team utilize the space and what a reveal! This piece was so beautiful and charming and necessary. It skewed modern tropes to let in new perspectives. As a Black audience member, it felt like a discussion made for me.
