Gretchyn takes us through her real-life journey of facing harrowing treatment by a cult-like Christian community and the result is fascinating! Wylder is a powerful performer, expert storyteller and has a beautiful cackle that will relieve anyone's doubts that she's truly witchy! A must see of the fest.... full review

I loved last year's Medicine Woman and now Veronica delivers once again with this piece that makes motherhood seem like a horror story and shows the brain fog and hilarity of it all through real time interactions. Veronica herself is almost like a baby because she holds no false pretenses and appears to just be existing on stage letting hilarious words fall out of her mouth effortlessly. I was blown away by this show! The title character, Rosie, opens the show by bounding onto the stage with an adorable backpack and the energy of Dora the Explorer, but make no mistake, there is nothing frivolous or kiddie about this production. Evelyn Rose has written a smart and highly entertaining ode to OCD and regales us with songs and story that weave so seamlessly together you forget you're watching a musical. From the moment Cara stepped on stage to "my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard. . . " the audience was with her. Cara helps us understand what it's like being a woman in a larger body and manages to poke fun at herself with photos and jokes without sliding into a kind of self-deprecation that would undermine her very triumphant message. Who are those folks making the magic happen off stage, in the dark? Turns out the "unseen" are also sometimes artists with their own dreams. Kim Prentice takes us into the intimate underbelly of a Broadway crew member’s life and challenges. It's the details of being a "costume hag" to the stars that make this show hilarious - I laughed a lot! - but it is the ambition of the dresser to become a dancer on stage herself that is heartbreaking and gives this story depth. Dara takes us on her journey of losing her mother and we find ourselves frequently laughing at her honest musings, silly dance breaks, and complete transparency with the audience. She is an excellent storyteller. Simply seeing inside Dara's thoughts is a ride of clever quips, but the end result is heartfelt and nothing but sincere. ... full review
