Glad I slept on it before I reviewed - this slice of life hit way way deeper than I expected! Smartly written, grounded but crackling performances. The easy reproire w/ the leads almost mask the disillusion, discontent, frustration that rumbles beneath the surface. Something deeply stupid/sad/absurd about having to stay married for health insurance. So much so that it almost felt 'reasonable' for Neil to make the decision he made. What?? That's' insane, but so is not having universal healthcare,... full review

Best. Dad. NEVER.

Wow, can Hike teach me all things? I could listen all day. I was not expecting to be challenged as much as I was warmed and tickled. He takes his personal experiences and though vastly different than mine, I could somehow relate. Partially because of would have totally stood up at the free dance concert. Partially because Hike is soooo thoughtful and thought provoking without being outrageously provocative. ... full review

Sharp, polished, hilarious. And surprisingly moving in a really great way! Dale takes you on a ride and because he approaches things with openness and kindness, he can expertly walk that line of 'taboo' topics. Which are the exact sort of well crafted jokes that fill me with a naughty glee -- which is the best kind of glee! ... full review

I love a documentary and I love comedy so this was just a freaking TREAT for me! Daniel seems unassuming, but he's sharp and silly, focused and hilarious. I think he's on the right track in his little corner - the universe certainly seems to rise up and meet him at every step! Kind of Ted Talks, stand up, sex edutainment or Sex Talk. Love to see fellow late bloomers THRIVING! Well done! ... full review

I didn't expect a story this heavy to feel so light. Thanks to Rejyna's delicate touch, haunting and spell binding music and media, the weight of the story was never oppressive. Human experience reactions played out against the cold, supporting facts of the transcript was lovely and balanced. The music is gorgeous and Rejyna is captivating. I hope everyone has a chance to see hear this gripping story,... full review

STAGE MAMMA: From Child Star to Leading Lady

Rheagan is luminous and light, raw and compelling - Beautifully acted and so fully realized - me, a little girl TV junkie was in HEAVEN watching this story of a child star (!) and her complicated relationship with her mother. While I delight in the TEA of it all, the truth and poignancy and ultimate acceptance was a love letter to both the 'business' and the mamma. Awesome work!!! ... full review

I'll watch Betsy do anything! Honest, charming, vulnerable, sparkly and hilarious. She's a great joke writer and takes a lot of joy in ownership and honoring her past experiences. Undiagnosed ADHD hits with me and I felt a little lighter leaving the theatre. Betsy doesn't fit in any box, nor should she. ... full review
