Based on a true story, MONA LISA MISSING is a musical mystery and love story set in early 20th century France. While the story may be a bit derivative and predictable at times, it was altogether a very enjoyable experience, with fun songs, beautiful set design, and a delightful and strong ensemble. GHOST TRAIN is a cautionary tale of the tragedies of history and a graceful exploration of cognitive dissonance in action. A HAUNTING REVUE is a collection of three Twilight Zone-style vignettes, interestingly all having to do with inheritance of some kind—whether that’s from family, colleagues, or friends. My personal favorite vignette was The Inheritance of Dracula, supported by very believable actors that fit naturally in the world. SWEET AIR is a funny and adorable duo show about the truths we’re willing to share and the moments we’re ready to reveal them. You’ll enjoy both characters as individuals and as a pair as they slowly show more of who they are—if they start out stiff, they warm up to the audience as they warm up to one another. I love stories about strangers, and this show has a lot of fun playing with the social rules we use to create distance from one another in order to inch its characters closer together.... full review

DECKHAND is a fast-paced, high volume comedy you do not want to miss. You will love to root for the timid assistant and love to hate this manchild of a boss. If I had to be picky, I would say I wished there was a bit more variation in dynamics (in the musical sense. it was basically 40 minutes straight of yelling), and—Slight Spoiler—I wished I could identify the exact moment that the assistant turned, though I do recognize it happened in progression. Natalie has a natural instinct for comedy and a perspective to share that is simultaneously quirky and relatable. This silly solo-show is darkly colorful and glittering with a reality-bending wink--solid even in its youthful stages--and I look forward to seeing how it develops and shifts in the future.... full review

BEN’S VIKING TRIP takes a unique and playful approach to ancestral trauma and the trials and tribulations of the creative process. Everyone shines, with beautiful singing, clearly defined characters, and gorgeous live keys. If you’re any kind of writer, you’ll be able to relate to this show.
