FULL DISCLOSURE, I know a lot of these people! My biases are inherent! "The Taste Test" (street name) is fun fun fun with a capital "ph." As Fringe-y a show as you could want. I'm really glad folks are swinging at big issues these days. Freedom of speech, handling differing points of view, private vs. public, etc. I thought Naomi Brodkin did a good job of creating full characters that aren't just stage mouths reciting agenda points (a pitfall of this genre of story, I think). Because of this, when the consequences start falling into place, you feel the effect. The Fools' main stage is BIG and this cast fills the space well. Pick of the Fringe for me. Fearless in conception and execution. Nikki Muller is insanely talented and Jason Rosario is more than able to match her energy and power. I'm so glad I got to see this show. The physicality is fantastic but it's the language, in short, it's what these two are talking about (you, by the way), that sets this one apart. In case you forgot what Fringe could be, Ezra Buzzington steps in and delivers the goods. Funny, sad, machine gun quick, the cast is great, the premise is simple and extremely satisfying, and the gallery is full of funky art. One of my favorites. ... full review

You don't have to know too much about any of the various elements this show draws from to enjoy it so don't get spooked. Different from everything else I've seen this year. And I don't want to say much else. Go. It's great. Highly recommended. ... full review
