Totally fun concept and it WORKED! This type of show could easily go horribly wrong, but Carey Matthews (despite his "meek" characters demeanor) takes control of the audience with ribbing and fantastic improved interaction. Jim Martyka was also a stand out as Sonny, but really the whole cast was a treat. Kudos to Greg Crafts for the creative story line and comedic dialogue and to Jacob Smith for bringing it altogether. This show will certainly be funnier to theatre nerds like myself. Inside quips about Chekov and general absurdity make 'Neva' an entertaining watch. Really interesting set design that brings the actors into a circle of papers and books. The close proximity to each other seems to fuel the chaos that takes shape.
