Taking place under the looming shadow of both the Vietnam war and Japanese interment camps, Alli challenges the audience to question if they themselves are on the right side of history. Aaron confidently and mischievously toys with the audience. He lulls you into sympathy and pity with stories, and then calls you out when you fall into his trap. He challenges the audience to not judge him for his actions, and then freely shares his honest experiences. It was an incredible performance and one that I am fortunate to have experienced. Mara delivers a performance for the ages. She takes us on a journey where she confronts in inner demons and insecurities. She bravely lowers her guard and exposes the audience to her raw, inner self. The courage and confidence required to allow yourself to be so vulnerable in front of a room full of people is a commendable feat and I was taken aback by her performance.
