Pop Star

Umm, this chick is so cool. The show was nostalgic, self-aware, and tragic. Comedy= tragedy + time. Pop Star embodies this saying. Devon takes us on a hilarious ride on what it was like to chase pop stardom as a teenager. She shows us all her scars with a smile on her face and a nod to the horror of the industry. ... full review

The Anti "Yogi" puts on full display Mayuri's talents as a dancer, actress, and storyteller. She seamlessly flowed through characters, making her feel like a one-person band. Mayuri clearly knows what her strengths are as a performer and commits so fully to every choice she makes with her body, expressions, and words. ... full review

Lessons from Children's Books

I loved this show! I actually learned a lot about the classic children's books I never bothered to question. Phillip is such a great writer with so much attention to detail. I was engaged throughout the entire show and loved all the modern takes on antiquated tropes that we spoon feed to children. ... full review

This show was so unpredictable, fresh, and fun! I was both scared and excited for what she would do next haha. Annie played a pretentious artist with such beautiful self-awareness. I loved it!... full review

ICE CATS: A Dead Mother Traumedy

Wow wow wow, I LOVED this show! From the moment Alli stepped on the stage and said her first line, I knew the audience was in good hands. This show had everything you want-humor, heart, original songs, and karaoke. Alli is such a confident and effective storyteller. The story hooked me and her performance elevated it to new heights. I had a blast and it was one of my favorite Fringe shows I've seen so far! Highly recommend checking it out!... full review

The Funny Thing About A Panic Attack

This solo show was unlike any I've seen before! It was heartwarming, electric, and genre-bending. I loved how each poem came alive through movement and dance! Ben is a powerful storyteller who is so in-tune with the audience. You feel taken care of my him and trust his ability to tell his story with confidence and intentionality. ... full review

Hell of a Year

Hell of a Year was the first show I saw for Fringe 2024 and I'm so glad it was! The show was so well thought out and executed. Elli is a powerful storyteller who keeps the crowd engaged during every moment of the show. The writing was clever, heartfelt, and funny! Some solo shows can be cringey in their lack of self-awareness to what is actually interesting to an audience who doesn't have a relationship to the performer. This solo show was none of those things, it shined bright with a full story ... full review

Soft Animal

Soft Animal was such a delightful treat of a solo show! I watched George perform for the first time a couple months ago and immediately turned to my friend and said, "this guy is next level." I couldn't wait to see more and watching his solo show delivered in the best way! George is unlike any other performer I've ever seen. You can tell he is so present on stage and takes his time discovering fun things to share with the audience. His sense of play is so contagious and he is so dang charming in ... full review
