This was a fun comedic history tour into the band known as "The Cock-Eyed Ladies of Liesure!" I wasn't sure what to expect next as we strolled around Santa Monica Blvd and got a wild history lesson from a burned-out roadie, who claimed he knew the band, their crazed manager and several 60s and 70s rock icons! Joe Coffey is amazing in this tale of family, strife, poverty, loss and redemption. Joe flawlessley snaps between three characters Jim (Whitey) Bulger, Bill Bulger and the Bulger father as we get a glimpse into the brothers youth, teen years and adolescense. We witness the battle between good and evil from the inside as a family is torn apart by a wild and violent persona who was a bad seed from the beginning. What a great show! Hope Levy brings humor, music, singing and enchanment to this strange tale of a forgotten singer-songwriter by the name of Connie Converse. At first I thought Connie Converse was a fictious character, but she's 100% REAL! An ecclectic singer/somgwriter from the 1950s, Connie tried to make it in NYC and after many years and no success, she left, took a job in the midwest- and for years was content--only years later -she up and disappeared--never to be heard from again! This was an amazing play! It draws you in with humor and wit and soon the twists and turns have you on the edge of your seat! This is a Hitchcockian thriller that will keep you captivated the entire time! The actors, the writing, the dialogue, the direction were all phenominal! Funny, tragic and personal. Heather weaves a heart-rending story of love, dreams and loss in a way that really makes you feel for her character. A funny juxtaposition between her character's day job as a traveling corporate manager and her off hours, let's you see into who this person really is. Beware--a dark twist is coming. Heart warming and inspirational, I'd love to see more of Heather's work.... full review
