If you love history and would listen to someone tell you about literally any historical time, event or person (as I would), this show is for you. A fascinating look at the many different roles women play (often simultaneously, on their own) and where those expectations come from - society, religion, family, culture, ourselves. With so many demands and emotions, it's easy to see how this character struggles and how she works to convince not just her guest but herself that everything is fine. ... full review

The mother and daughter at the center of this story are so beautifully complicated characters. The other characters add a richness to the plot and you just have to know what could possibly happen next. A really touching piece that dealt delicately with the flaws within us as people and within the relationships we have with others. ... full review

I was able to get a last minute ticket to this show and I'm so glad I did! I knew nothing about it, but "Roost" was an absolutely hilarious, beautifully meta look into a playwright's mind. ... full review

Such a fun show - I loved getting to choose the direction and the idea that there are several different endings is amazing.
