Jackie

Jackie is an interesting play. Growing up knowing only about this icon through the news but hearing rumors and stories about her and her experiences made this a play I wanted to see. The dialogue of the play all done by one talented actress gives us a glimpse of the cage that Jackie lived in. It seemed all she had to distance herself from the prying eyes of the world was her signature style and attitude. Both distant and intimate. I very much enjoyed this show and like that it was done at Hollywo... full review

This is an ambitious show. So much to be thought about. The story was very dense with emotions and information. I enjoyed the writing and the acting. I love to watch dramas unfold and this did not disappoint. ... full review

Rebecca shares with her audience her experiences of having to transport herself on the public bus system in Los Angeles with her service dog Stella back and forth to cancer treatments. The fact Rebecca was able to observe and experience others with empathy and openness is in itself a testament to who she is and what her impact on others is. Her show is life affirming as well as thoughtful and filled with laugh out loud moments and deeply emotional feelings that made me cry. Thank you Rebecca for ... full review

Touching, emotional, funny, well acted. Title Pending is a wonderful solo show which follows Heather through the emotionally brutal realization her husband is not the person she believed he was. It is cleverly executed and ultimately heart wrenching. Really liked this show and appreciated the honesty and execution. I laughed, I cried, I was pulled into the story and you will be too! Great show!... full review

The Box

The Box was a smart, well acted, seriously funny play that I was pleasantly surprised to see. Stephen and Alice are especially strong in their performances and a joy to watch as their relationship slowly at first spiraled to those dark places we desperately want to avoid. Cal/Dad was fun to watch. One of my favorite shows at Fringe 2023.... full review

Unexpected. Lorelei has a beautiful voice and brought me on a journey of her life with laughter. I loved how she wove her personal story with humor and song. She has a very sophisticated ability to combine laughter with personal commentary without being offensive. Just honest. Lorelei is fun to watch. I really enjoyed "A Scar is Born" and highly recommend seeing this show.... full review
