Not My Grandmother's Daughter

This show was so soothing and relaxing. I loved the puppets, silhouettes, and the wholesomeness of it. This show is the equivalent of having a conversation with your grandma over some sweet tea as she tells you about her life. I found Harley to be such a delight in her story telling and sincerity. I also really enjoyed her light box and how she would perform the actions using her shadow. It was really unique story-telling and I found myself relaxed by the whole experience. It is criminal how lit... full review

This one is for the Neil Gaiman fans who want to see more queer representation. I enjoyed this play alot. The characters were fascinating, the acting on point, and the shocking way the play unfolded will leave you STUNNED! This play was genuinely so engaging. I felt like every dialogue and body movement was intentional. From the way each character walked or stood they each felt very unique. I genuinely enjoyed the acting and overall "World" of this play. Whoever wrote this needs to win some kind ... full review

This gave off strong Full Metal Alchemist vibes. I really appreciated the intensity behind Drew's acting / writing, which was further aided by the lighting & sound design. It was incredible and intense. Drew has a way of writing very visceral dialogue that only kept hitting and hitting. It didn't feel like any dialogue was wasted. It all felt palpable and Drew really captured that feeling of desperation well. Overall a really phenomenal play that I highly recommend everyone watch. ... full review

Is Krishna There? A Begum Akhtar Story

Lauren Curet offers us a glimpse into the life someone might be forced into if they were trying to appease their parents. It had a great mix of old school conservative Indian norms and what it means to be a “good woman” vs a more modern perspective where a young woman can choose her own destiny. Even if its veggie-ing out on the catch eating Dominoes and watching Netflix. This play was felt like a love letter to Lauren’s mom and as a way to honor her for letting be her own person and not be bound... full review

The Sentence

Hannah Moore and Ainsley Ferrell are both equally guilty of stealing our hearts! This play has a lot to talk about regarding women who want their voices known and what happens when they’re abused into submission. Its a very good portrayal of the aftermath of an abusive relationship and how one can really be beaten into submission. Such a thought-provoking 2 person play that did a good job of having us guess who really did the crime? And more importantly, are these women justified In their act? ... full review

Trying is a 30min view into the life of an addict. Through amazing set design , relatable dialogue, and incredible acting Chance is able to offer a very intimate view into the life of someone who is at rock bottom. Its such an honest portrayal of the following morning after someones world was shattered. A great stand alone piece that I recommend everyone watch... full review

Cherries, Rare & Fair: A Quest for Orgasmic Rainbows

ariel jimenez · June 04, 2023 certified reviewer
This was one of the horniest shows i ever seen that had a high production value. If you’re a fan of Jafar’s flamboyant-ness and Ursula’s sass, imagine an R-rated Disney story (purely because of how much sex appeal this show has). This show is so much fun and encourage everyone to go and see it. ... full review

Something Like... Musical

This show was spectacular. Kelsey has such a phenomenal voice and unique sense of humor. There’s something so refreshing about a show with finger puppets, feels like a lost art form. This show is unique and funny as hell. The projector bits were also hilarious. Overall phenomenal show that everyone should watch ... full review
