A masterful portrayal! A rare connection of player and material. An extremely well balanced play with an extremely and delicately unbalanced protagonist forever seeking balance. Truman Capote was a bold and unapologetic ancient archetype. I suppose any other time period that he might have been born into the world on, September 30th (you do the math...) very well could have exhibited similar results in human triumph and foible.... full review

So glad that I was let in late. I did experience enough to appreciate many aspects of this worthy ensemble production. Top of the list, Mama was ALL BOLD CAPTIVATING. Bare footed, dancing all the way - even in the shadows. I suspect that I have seen this woman before, as it was evident that she is a veteran of this biz. But for all intents and purposes, I am glad I have lived to witness her exceptional talent. Next close by, Pastor! Fringe should pay both these women twice!! Which I know would... full review

I feel the need to state that, this was my date's selection. Now, if you are reading on... It's a curious piece of theatre. One character is terrifically unlikable for the first... twenty minutes. The other is even more beguiling at various times. There is a riptide of Christianity throughout. ... full review

The boy worked himself into a state! There was one point briefly during which the train was barreling at a run-away speed (I had to blow my whistle) but, wow! He's got powers... and his purpose seems to be freedom.... full review

I had fun overall. It's no surprise that in a multi-multi-culti-culti sketch show, some scenes are stronger than others. This was a fair and commendable balance and, a survey - if I may - of L.A. There were some fun, kinky bits... and some which were admirably "borderline" so... it did what it's supposed to do. A few cheap shots and gross-outs but, daring enough.... full review

Yea... I was there, and this cat brought me back to that threshold of time/space in my... youth. Gonzales does make it all seem just like yesterday except his ride was a lot rougher and a great deal less just, than mine. And he made it to tell this truly, L.A. story.
