A Shark Ate My Penis: a History of Boys Like Me

I thought this show was fascinating, funny, vulnerable, exciting, weird and just an absolute delight to watch. Laser is a gifted performer, completely at ease and I thought about the show and his performance for days after I watched. How do you try so hard and make something so complicated and dynamic and education and vulnerable, and then just perform it like you're having a conversation in a supermarket? It was fabulous. It was easeful. It was a friggen delight. ... full review

I just absolutely loved this. It was dark and weird and hilarious, and I just loved Katherine's timing, commitment and joy through performing this show. I also felt very involved - when I left I felt like we all experienced something together. Katherine is an incredibly talented performer who had us at hello. I feel like this is just the beginning of a long life with this show, and I just can't wait to see where it goes next. ... full review

I laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed. Such a bold, funny, unique, wonderful cast. I loved legit every second. It was such a joy to watch people having so much fun, so unashamed, so wonderful, so the POINT of all this. I felt like a little kid! Such an awesome reminder to not take yourself to seriously, to have FUN, to just lean in and take up space and do it with JOY. I seriously loved it and thats all there is to it. ... full review

I laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed. I also went aw at the end and then went back to laughing. The entire cast is electric, but Pam really is something special. Every move she made I completely bought, hook line and sinker. I laughed and laughed and laughed. ... full review

A very personal and vulnerable piece of theatre! Drew has big open eyes that let you enter his entire heart and I really love that in a performer. I really appreciated the vulnerability and the commitment - Drew totally commanded the stage particularly in the parts where he directly addressed the audience. Those moments were super grounded and impactful. ... full review

I have never really seen a one person show that has felt so personal, detailed, complicated and specific. Hailey is an absolute powerhouse and delivers gut wrenching emotion while also maintaining a true sense of charisma and watchability. It is personal but never self indulgent, witty but never hammy, and truly a JOY to watch. ... full review
