This June, Writer and performer Gabrielle Jackson will make her Hollywood Fringe Festival debut with the They Tend to Themselves, an original one-woman choreopoem selected for the prestigious 2026 Hollywood Fringe Scholarship Program. Jackson is one of only 12 artists chosen festival-wide for the honor, which is awarded to BIPOC and underrepresented artists producing exceptional new work.
They Tend to Themselves was selected for the Hollywood Fringe Scholarship Program, now in its 10th anniversary year, which has supported 128 producing teams since 2016. Funded by Hollywood Pantages Theatre and County Supervisor Lindsey P. Horvath, the program provides recipients with free festival registration, a production stipend, and professional theatrical mentorship. Alumni productions have transferred Off-Broadway to the SoHo Playhouse, performed at Second City, and presented work at the California State Capitol.

They Tend to Themselves is a one-woman journey through mirrors, memory, and becoming. Using spoken word, movement, and music Rainbow Delicious wrestles with her own reflection. She defines for herself what it means to be Black, a woman. and explores everything the world has tried to make her doubt about both. Join writer and performer Gabrielle Jackson in her Hollywood Fringe Festival debut.

ABOUT GABRIELLE JACKSON
Gabrielle Jackson is a writer and performer based in Los Angeles, California. She’s a multidisciplinary artist whose work leverages spoken word, movement, and Afrofuturist storytelling, They Tend to Themselves is her debut full-length solo work at Hollywood Fringe Fest. The play was originally commissioned for production in 2022 by The Wayward Artist theatre company.
