A Gen Z pope with a cult following of gay sick people, 26-year-old Kylie Vincent whose irreverent and dark traumedy has earned a 5-star run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, a spot on Comedy Central’s Stand-Up Featuring Series, and recognition from Netflix Is A Joke, returns with another run of shows for this year’s Hollywood Fringe Festival.
Kylie’s prefrontal lobe just dropped… it has a lesion. Her diagnosis: Multiple Sclerosis and an incurable dependency on other people. Through stand-up and mixed media, Lesion Lady explores independence, illness, and the American healthcare system in a new hour that is dark, funny, and entirely her own.
On connecting with her audience, Kylie writes: “I get flooded with messages from my sick disabled trans Kylie Vincent heads that you are all going through this horror too and unfortunately, we are not alone. When I die and go to heaven at the perfect age (not too young not too old) I know for a fact I won’t see any healthcare CEOs up there on the heaven penthouse floor (people like Charlie bit my finger will be up there).” On the show’s reception, she says: “The reviews are lesiondary and I am just so glad people love the show because I love doing it and was going to keep doing it anyway.”
Certified reviewers agree. Michelle Murphy called it “Fantastic. Incredible. Moving. Hilarious. Cathartic. Feral. Sorry to say you’re an idiot if you don’t make time to see it!” Harper-Rose Drummond wrote: “Her hour is as vulnerable as it is funny, and gotdamn it is deeply hilarious.” And Paul O’Mara: “Kylie is a tour de force. Her presence on stage is captivating. Her ability to balance seriously heavy subject matter with comedy is true genius. I felt a rollercoaster of emotions that left me tearing up.”
Lesion Lady returns for shows 5, 6, and 7 with Hollywood Fringe Festival 2026, following sold-out runs at The Vault at Elysian Theatre and the Belly Room at The Comedy Store – first performed 18 days out of the hospital, then 47, then 120.
Lesion Lady (live) is the centerpiece of a documentary stand-up special in development that follows Kylie navigating this disease and how to chill with doctors.
