SHROOMSY SHORE: BELOVED VIDEO GAME HEROES REINVENTED IN A DRAMEDY REALITY TV STAGE PLAY

Shroomsy Shore

view project

After their glory days, the Super Mario brothers and their friends are dropped into a real world reality TV show.

In Shroomsy Shore, an outrageous new stage comedy; familiar Mushroom Kingdom characters are thrown into a surreal reality-TV experiment where fame is fading, ratings are dropping, and the only thing more dangerous than nostalgia is reinvention.
In a world with no extra lives and nowhere to hide, they’re forced to confront who they really are on and off camera.

Shroomsy Shore is the debut stage play from writers, directors, producers, and performers Chris Turbitt, a disabled veteran, and Nadia Carrion, a south american artist. Together, they bring fresh perspectives, bold energy, and cultural representation to a hilarious, heartfelt, and inclusive reimagining of beloved characters.
