BEGGING FOR LOVE, a one-woman musical clown comedy by comedienne Christine Castanon will make its world premiere at the Hollywood Fringe Festival at the Broadwater Black Box stage for an exclusive 5 night run, directed by Jessika Pilkes & produced by Nicholas Peters. Based on the misadventures of a young woman who is on a mission to be loved by any means necessary, she dives headfirst into a world of bad dates, ghosting, and humiliating auditions. But when nothing fills the void, Christine is forced to confront what it actually means to be enough.
Fresh off of her run as Pauline in “A Bright New Boise” at the Hudson Theater where Deadline contributing writer, Greg Nussen called her performance “note perfect” and “a constant source of hilarity,” Castanon’s comedic timing and clowning take on new heights of absurdity and delight in this one woman musical comedy.
Bold, ridiculous, and uncomfortably honest, BEGGING FOR LOVE is for anyone who’s ever pleaded for validation, and maybe went a little too far to get it. Performances will take place June 4-28.
