A DEFIANT DEBUT AT HOLLYWOOD FRINGE 2026

I Am Nahui Olin

The Hollywood Fringe Festival will debut I Am Nahui Olin, a new solo play created, written, and directed by Jessica Silvetti and starring Virginia Novello. For the 2026 Hollywood Fringe Festival, the two teamed up to produce this production of the play. The show opens at Eastwood Performing Arts Center beginning June 14th, with additional performances on June 20th and June 25th.
“The moment I learned of Nahui Olin, I was hit with an electricity that shouted, tell my story! Through my creative lens and experience as a woman who doesn’t live within the lines, I answered her call.” I Am Nahui Olin tells the extraordinary story of the poet, writer, and artist of 1920s Mexico. Defiant. Desired. Eternal. Nahui lived by her own rules. Performed by Virginia Novello, whose evocative essence manifests Nahui with a striking presence, the piece blends intimate storytelling, creative reconstruction, and a vintage inspired visual design to evoke the era’s artistic vitality. The show invites audiences to journey alongside a woman fighting to be heard and the legacy she defiantly left behind.

Creative Team:
VIRGINIA NOVELLO (Performer, Producer) is a Mexican-born actress, writer, producer, and tantric teacher whose work explores femininity, healing, sexuality, and transformation. Based between Los Angeles and Mexico, she creates deeply personal stories that blend vulnerability, ritual, and social commentary. Her work spans film, theater, podcasting, and live experiences, including her podcast Orgasmica and the feature film Las tres Sisters, which had a theatrical release in 2025.
JESSICA SILVETTI (Creator, Writer-Director, Producer) is a writer and director, whose distinctive voice is a result of her unconventional upbringing. Originally from Mexico City, of Spanish descent, and raised in the US, her love of storytelling expands across genres and languages. Deeply committed to bringing rich and complex women’s stories to life, she’s the creator, writer and director of I Am Nahui Olin.
