Producer Tim Christian and the Theatre Academy, Department of Theater Arts at Los Angeles City College are proud to announce the world premiere of Travelers: A Two-Hander in Disconnected Parts, presented as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2026.

Travelers brings together two alumni of the LACC Professional Actor Training Program in a duet of solo shows — each tackling life’s abstruse absurdities and traumatic transitions through deeply personal, original storytelling.

“The works that became Travelers came to my attention as separate projects — solo pieces by two artists who each wanted to be part of HFF26. When I read the scripts, I was moved by the honesty of April’s story and the vulnerability of Adam’s. Together, these new voices will amuse and uplift the HFF26 audience with poignant and poetic characters.”

“Acne Scars”
Written & Performed by Adam Lopatka · Directed by Sergio Mota

One man’s quest to clear his pizza face once and for all. But with bigger fish to fry — juggling the stresses of Bible college with a sexual identity crisis — it just seems impossible. A story of faith, friendship, and finding acceptance for yourself just the way you are.

“I am the Mountain People”
Written & Performed by April E. · Directed by Adam Lopatka

A journey with a young girl who uses imaginary friends to cope with child abuse and navigate life through foster care — a raw and searching portrait of resilience and imagination.

Together, the two pieces form an evening of remarkable contrast and resonance — one wry and painfully funny, the other harrowing and tender — united by the conviction that telling your own story is an act of courage.
