Preview Performances June 4–7 at Zombie Joe’s Underground
Hollywood Fringe Festival Run June 12–28 at McCadden Place Theatre
Presented by Zombie Joe’s Underground & Razorwire Productions

LOS ANGELES, CA — Following acclaimed performances at Zombie Joe’s Underground and the 2026 Bombay Beach Biennale, Something Anxious: A Double Feature comes to the Hollywood Fringe Festival this June.
The one-hour theatrical production features two original plays created during Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre Group’s 23rd Annual 50 Hour Drive-By Theatre Festival:
• Anxious Attachment written and directed by Douglas Clarke
• Something Ancient written and directed by Michael Silva
Anxious Attachment explores AI-driven attachment, loneliness, grief, addiction, and family fracture through the story of a young man retreating into AI companions simulating the people he has lost. Inspired by the podcast episode “Attachment Hacking and the Rise of AI Psychosis” from Your Undivided Attention, the play examines the emotional consequences of artificial connection through a deeply human lens.
Something Ancient is a genre-blending production combining family drama, absurd comedy, and spy thriller chaos into a fast-moving theatrical experience that explores complicated family relationships through humor, tension, and emotional unpredictability.
Together, both plays explore the emotional extremes of family dynamics, dependency, connection, and loss.
Preview performances run June 4–7 at Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre Group in North Hollywood, followed by the Hollywood Fringe Festival run June 12–28 at McCadden Place Theatre in Hollywood.
Media, reviewers, podcasters, and industry professionals are invited to attend. We especially encourage press attendance during the limited preview performances.
