Los Angeles, CA – April 30, 2026 – Internationally acclaimed Iranian theatre artist Shahin Sayadi presents Ritual Music to Cure a Lover, a gripping one-man play that powerfully mirrors the generational rebellion and cultural revolution unfolding in Iran today. The production will be performed as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2026 at the Madnani Theater.

In Ritual Music to Cure a Lover, a young man battles his father’s traditions. Through reimagined mythological figures drawn from Persian poetry, Sayadi seamlessly transforms into multiple characters, weaving inter-generational voices into a panoramic portrait of a family divided by tradition and love. The play builds to a visceral Zaar exorcism ceremony that unearths long-buried family secrets and unleashes love’s power to confront hate and darkness.
