BURN SCAR

Written and performed by acclaimed actor Christine Dunford, Burn Scar is a blisteringly funny and unexpectedly moving new solo show inspired by the aftermath of the 2025 Palisades fire.
Set against the devastation of one of Los Angeles’ most traumatic natural disasters, Burn Scar follows one woman’s surreal journey through loss, bureaucracy, insurance chaos, and the extraordinary human encounters that emerge in the wake of catastrophe. Equal parts dark comedy and emotional reckoning, the show explores what survives after everything else has burned away.
Known for her celebrated stage and screen work, Dunford brings razor-sharp storytelling, emotional honesty, and fearless humor to this deeply personal new work making its Hollywood Fringe debut this June. Having performed solo shows at multiple theaters and at the HBO Aspen Comedy Festival, Burn Scar marks her return to the solo stage.
Performances will take place at Theatre of NOTE, located at 1517 N. Cahuenga Blvd. in Hollywood, as part of the 2026 Hollywood Fringe Festival. Performance dates include:

ABOUT THE PERFORMER
Born in the Bronx and trained at Juilliard, Christine has spent her entire adult life bringing stories to life — from Shakespeare at the Public Theater in NYC and Caryl Churchill on Broadway to Mamet at the Geffen in Los Angeles. She has appeared in more than 100 episodes of television, including Marshals, Acapulco, Cowboy Bebop, 9-1-1, The Purge, Arrested Development, Two and a Half Men and Seinfeld. Her film work includes Ulee’s Gold and Love & Basketball, and she has lent her voice to major video game titles including Horizon Zero Dawn, Infamous and The Outer Worlds.
