ROSIE’S BRAIN
A One-Woman Musical Comedy
Makes Its Los Angeles Premiere at the Hollywood Fringe Festival — Opening June 11
Following a Critically Acclaimed World Premiere Run in London
Los Angeles, CA — Evelyn Rose, writer, composer, and performer of the celebrated one-woman comedic musical Rosie’s Brain, is thrilled to announce its Los Angeles premiere at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, opening June 11. Having captivated London audiences and earned rave reviews from over twelve publications — including multiple four- and five-star notices — Rosie’s Brain brings its unique blend of wit, heart, and original music to Los Angeles, following its U.S. premiere in San Francisco on June 3.
ABOUT THE SHOW
Rosie’s Brain is a musical comedy about a young woman coming of age under the thumb of chronic anxiety and OCD. The story follows Rosie from her initial struggles with anxiety as a child to her first day at college, where she faces a new challenge: a fear of dating so crippling that she can’t even hold a guy’s hand. We follow Rosie as she jumps from therapist to therapist, desperately trying to unlock her fear of intimacy and find love. Through this process and many awkward, heartbreaking, and humorous experiences enacted in the show, Rosie emerges stronger, learning to trust herself despite her diagnoses. This poignant musical explores the complexities of mental health and the journey toward self-belief and resilience, all while keeping audience members laughing for the full 60 minutes. Rosie’s Brain is a must-see show for anyone who has ever felt like their brain was working against them.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Rosie’s Brain is written, composed, and performed by Evelyn Rose, a songwriter, recording artist, and actor with a Master’s degree in Musical Theatre from London’s Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. With dual UK-US citizenship, Evelyn has built a career that moves between London and the United States. The show had its world premiere at The Hope Theatre in London in February 2025, where it received multiple four- and five-star reviews. The creative team for the London premiere was made up of Royal Central graduates, and Rosie’s Brain was the result of a post-graduation workshop group that met monthly to share works-in-progress and offer support for projects. Evelyn attended these meetings in 2024, and that’s how Rosie’s Brain was born. Evelyn seeks to create deeply vulnerable work. Her goal is to use comedy and music to lay bare the unsung truths of anxiety and OCD, and Rosie’s Brain is just the beginning. In December 2025, Evelyn released her Christmas EP “Who Brought the Mistletoe?,” and held a sold-out release concert at San Francisco’s Martuni’s Bar, accompanied by Broadway pianist Nick Perez.
