WHAT: Street Rat Media presents:

‘A Role Playing Game’ – A New Drama Coming to Hollywood Fringe

Hollywood, CA. What do leftist infighting and role-playing games have in common? More than you’d think! Street Rat Media is making its Hollywood Fringe Festival debut with the world premiere of a new one-hour drama, “A Role Playing Game”. Writer-Director Trey Reinheimer’s freshman play follows a group of friends who finish their long-running “Caverns and Creatures” campaign, when a discussion about what happens next to their shared fantasy world turns into a heated political debate that reopens old wounds and tests the limits of their friendship.

Elle Ven (Julie Amuedo) is a pragmatist who wants to see the real world reflected in the fantasy created by the Game Master (Bek Suoma), who is balancing the desires of everyone else at the table–including the political idealist Sir Vice (Francis Kemper), peacekeeping rationalist Will Usion (Klenn Harrigan), and our ideological wildcard Kyle (Miles Bryant). With each character representing the different liberal archetypes dividing the party, the play reflects on the personal and political exhaustion in what it means to identify as a modern-day “progressive”.

Trey Reinheimer has forged a play fueled by passion and inefficacy best described as “Gen Z’s West Wing”. He explores topics ranging from leftist infighting, civic responsibility, and civic engagement practices in the modern day with specificity and empathetic reflection. He invites the audience on a journey of introspection, pointing a mirror at interpersonal liberal politics in an era of constant discourse.

PRODUCTION TEAM:

Trey Reinheimer (Writer/Director): is a writer and creator based in Los Angeles. Primarily a writer leaning towards comics and animation, this is his first hollywood fringe show and directorial debut. Originally from St. Peters Missouri, he graduated from Truman state in 2019 before moving to LA in 2022. A long time fan of table top RPGs, and inspired by real life conversations, he began working on what would become “A role playing game” as a concept in 2024 before deciding on turning it into a play for Hollywood fringe. He hopes that everyone will be able to take away something unique from the show regardless of where they fall on the political spectrum or their familiarity with table top games. He’d like to give many shout outs, but especially his producer, Nicole Ohara, without whom he would be completely lost and over his head. He’d also like to thank the whole cast for their incredible work bringing his words to life on stage each night. Not to mention poster designer Libby Daspit, who you can see the portfolio of at @elizaoz_art on instagram. And last but certainly not least all of his friends and family who have helped and inspired him on the journey of putting this project together. He hopes you enjoy the show!

Nicole Ohara (Producer) is a Hapa* actor, producer, and writer. She is on a mission to build a body of work that takes people on a journey of self-discovery and awareness. She trained at the Stella Adler Art of Acting Studio Conservatory. Her notable acting credits include: California Skate, Moving on Hulu, Small and Mighty on Disney+, Love Deadline on Netflix, Snowdrop on Disney+, and Found Family (Winner Paris Film Festival Best LGBTQ). As a producer she has experience both on stage and film including The Seagull (dir. Bruce Katzman, starring Sasha Alexander and James Tupper, Odyssey Theatre); Orion and the Dark (Netflix – Top 10); All the Beauty and the Bloodshed (Oscar Nominee Best Documentary); Gummy Worm (Best Comedy Nominee, Encore Producers’ Award Winner). She’s looking forward to working on this production and you can learn more about her at nicoleoharamedia.com or follow her @nicoleoharamedia

Julie Amuedo (Elle Ven) is honored to be a part of A Role Playing Game! With a BA in Theater from Truman State University, Julie began her acting career in St. Louis, Missouri and was part of several productions including Proof with Moonstone Theater and Breadcrumbs with RS Theatrics, before moving to Los Angeles in 2022. Most recently, you might have seen her in Soaps during the 2025 Fringe Festival or as Ellie in A Funeral at The Peanut Patch with Rodeo Clown Studios. She believes in the power of communal storytelling and thanks Trey Reinheimer and the entire team for their vision and trust during this process.

Francis Kemper (Sir Vice) is excited to help bring this story to life. Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Truman State University before moving to Los Angeles where he’s been for the last seven years. His recent stage credits include the original play “Do You Believe in Life Before Death?” by Lola Darzens. He’s deeply thankful to his wonderful fiancée Ericka and all her unwavering support, to his friends and family for their commitment to him, to Trey, Nicole, and castmates for this wonderful experience and opportunity, and to his doggo Bagel. Enjoy!

Miles Bryant (Kyle) didn’t become an actor for the fame or the money; and so far so good. Miles is also a standup comedian, and you may have seen him on stage at The Comedy Store or on Chocolate Sundaes at The Laugh Factory. When it comes to DnD, he tends to favor roguish, non-human characters – he’d wreak havoc with a stealthy, mischievous halfling. Miles studied theatre at University of Southern California, Meisner with Terry Knickerbocker, and Improv at UCB. Recent credits include Ghost Play at The Greenway Court Theatre; Warmies Woodland Adventures, a children’s podcast from Warmies; and the lead in Ash Wing’s latest short film The Listening Post.

Bek Suoma (Game Master aka GM) is excited to be back with Street Rat Media for A Role Playing Game for her Fringe debut! Her work includes Charlie (Charlie), Macbeth (Macduff) and Comedy of Errors (Antipholus of Syracuse). Off the stage, Bek finds her inner peace in the chaos of playing and GMing TTRPGs, collecting flowers and contemplatively gazing at the sky.

Klenn Harrigan (Will Usion) is an LA-based actor by way of Washington, DC, by way of St.
Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. He can be found bouncing between improv sets and stages all across Los Angeles. Klenn is drawn to sharp, human stories with bite— and his favorite plays are Topdog/Underdog by Suzan-Lori Parks and Really Really by Paul Downs Colaizzo. Whether it’s scripted or made up on the spot, he is happiest wherever there’s an audience and a little bit of chaos.
