The Anti-Magic Magic Show is billed as “a magic show for people who hate magic shows.” This suggests that people who have seen magic shows in Vegas or elsewhere have been disappointed by them: the repetition of very old, over-familiar tricks, the fakery involved, the embarrassment experienced by being made to feel foolish by an illusion.
Magician and mentalist Benjamin B in the space of 50 minutes, will remedy that perspective. Acts of illusion and mentalism that will engage members of the audience in a magic show that is different from other magic shows because it includes one special component (and I’m not going to reveal it to you here).
Benjamin B is the creator of this entertainment. He is a member and featured performer at the world-famous Magic Castle. He has invented magic for other prominent magicians, with his tricks being performed by David Blaine, Piff the Magic Dragon, Colin Cloud, Dan White, and many others. Benjamin’s previous Hollywood Fringe shows include Buzz’d Out Live (Fringe Encore Award) and Trust Your Instincts (sold-out run).
Assistants: Caiti Rey, Brianna Espinosa.
You’ll be happy you came to this show. It’s best to order your tickets in advance; Benjamin’s Fringe show last year sold out.
Tickets go on sale May 1.
