ABOUT THE SHOW

Two writers. Two countries. Two lives unfolding side by side.

To Make Your Existence Easier brings together two distinct solo works—one following an Indian American lawyer, the other a South African man—each confronting questions of culture, naming, inheritance, and expectation.

Though written separately, the pieces collide in one shared theatrical space, revealing unexpected parallels in identity, belonging, and the quiet pressure to conform. The dual solo format allows each voice to stand fully on its own while echoing the other in ways that are both intimate and expansive.

ABOUT THE COLLABORATION

This production marks a full-circle creative moment: the writers and performers are all alumni of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), now reunited under the direction of former professor Marc Stallion, who also serves as current faculty.

Bringing former students back into a professional creative space, To Make Your Existence Easier exists as both a performance and a continuation of artistic mentorship beyond the classroom.

“This process has been about honoring their voices while helping shape the space where those voices can exist fully,” says Stallion. “It’s rare—and powerful—to witness artists step into their own work at this level.”

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR:
Marc Stallion is an actor, writer, director, and educator whose work centers on identity, empathy, and performance as a tool for human connection & healing. As both an AMDA alumnus and faculty member, his work continues to bridge training and professional practice.

Kuʻulei Santiago is an AMDA alum and young director whose work focuses on collaborative storytelling and performance-driven narratives.
