Hollywood Fringe Alumna Devin Davis-Lorton pens new original play to submit to this years Hollywood Fringe Festival
(Los Angeles, CA – April 19, 2026) – Women Who Eat is an original play by award-winning Actor, Playwright and Hollywood Fringe Alumna Devin Davis-Lorton. Devin received her BFA in Acting and Performance with a Minor in Writing from Emerson College. Since then, she has been an integral member of both The Road Theatre Company and City Garage Theater, and now expands her horizons with the founding of her own theater company, Point Blank Productions.
In this dark comedy, hysterical young women navigate modern womanhood, define sisterhood and the group dynamics of girls adapting to the pressure cooker of survival in a new and vicious world..
“The first sin was a woman who ate.” All hell breaks loose on an island oasis after power is lost during a generational storm. Hilarity ensues as six witty women fight to stay alive in a culture trying to gobble them whole.
When the electricity is cut to an off-the-grid eating disorder recovery center, the inhabitants are forced to grapple with whether or not they want to survive, and whether or not they will accept the women they become. As they fight for power and control, their only living choice is to eat. There is no other option.
Tickets for Women Who Eat go on sale on May 1st with the first preview gracing the stage on June 6th.
