MICHAEL JAMIN TO PREMIERE ONE MAN SHOW “A PAPER ORCHESTRA" AT HOLLYWOOD FRINGE FESTIVAL 2025
A Paper Orchestra
Making its debut at The Hollywood Fringe, A Paper Orchestra is the “audaciously funny yet achingly poignant” one-man show that examines how the smallest moments can change a life.
Michael Jamin has written on some of Hollywood’s biggest shows: King of the Hill, Beavis & Butt-Head, Just Shoot Me, Rules of Engagement, Wilfred, Maron, Out of Practice, Lois & Clark, Tacoma FD and more.
A Paper Orchestra is his first stage show. It’s a deeply personal and thought-provoking exploration of life that will elicit as many laughs as tears.
“When my eccentric neighbor died, I discovered he was a hoarder,” says Jamin. “It filled me with judgment, which is a quality I loath in myself even though I’m so damn good at it you’d think I’d be proud. Exploring his vacant house, I had to admit I was keeping my own dark secret.”
Jamin is currently touring with A Paper Orchestra, and is preparing to pitch it as a limited series.

In Praise of A Paper Orchestra:
“Good lord, how it made me feel happy, sad, and connected all at once… If one defines comedy as making sense of life and getting a visceral reaction out of its reader, it’s a triumph.”
—Vulture, Best Comedy Books of 2024
Along with being laugh-out-loud funny, the stories are keenly observed and, just when you least expect it, achingly honest."
—Air Mail Weekly
“As one of the head writers for my tv show Maron, Michael Jamin was essential in helping me portray myself honestly. I’m very happy and impressed that he was able to apply his craft to himself. It’s not easy to put your authentic you out there. Michael did a beautiful job of it with A Paper Orchestra.”
—Marc Maron
“Fantastic… It’s multi-timbral. It runs all levels of the pyramid at the same time. His knockout punches are stinging sincerity.”
-John Mayer
“Keen, hilarious and sometimes heartbreaking insights from an astute and twisted observer of everyday life.”
—Steven Levitan, co-creator, Modern Family; creator, Just Shoot Me

observations about love and life.”
