LOS ANGELES, CA – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Recolonizers, a political satire about three Super Patriots trying to Make the World America Again, will have its world premiere at the 2024 Hollywood Fringe Festival in June at the Broadwater Mainstage.

Veteran HFF producer Royce Shockley (2x Hollywood Producers’ Encore Award for Color Collective) will be making his Hollywood Fringe directorial debut and veteran HFF producers Bonnie He and James Carroll (winners of the 2022 HFF Comedy Award for A Terrible Show for Terrible People) are producing.

Described as an “unhinged Ted Talk” with improv, puppets, music and violence, Recolonizers is performed and written by Keisha Zollar (Netflix’s Astronomy Club), Andrew Kimler (Sundance fellow) and Megan Sass (Reductress), Recolonizers.

Keisha Zollar is a comedian, showrunner, producer, and writer. She recently voiced Susan Shepard on season two of Stephen Colbert’s: Tooning Out the News. Keisha’s also one of the co-creators and stars of Netflix’s Astronomy Club: The Sketch Show.

Andrew Kimler is an LA-based writer and New Yorker at heart. (Okay, more specifically Long Island — If you don’t know the difference, just ask). He’s a Sundance Fellow who wrote on the Reddit digital show PS Battles Live! and for the animated Quibi series May Day. Andrew has developed for Sony, Netflix, MTV, Funny or Die and helped develop a digital series for Intuit.

Megan Sass is a writer, comedian, and natural redhead hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio. Their projects include comedy pilot Bible Park (ISA Table Read My Screenplay Comedy Genre Winner), sci-fi short 387 (Scriptation Grand Prize Winner 2023), the musical The Mad Scientist’s Guide To Romance, Robots, and Soul-Crushing Loneliness (TimeOutNY NYC Fringe Critic’s Pick), and In the Middle (Coverfly Red List).

Additionally written and produced by Mark Litchenstein (The Game Is Up), associate produced by HFF veteran producer Radostina Peteva (The Groundlings). Executive produced by Zoe Samuel (A Comedy of Manors).
