We are proud to be staging the world premiere of Incantesimo: an Exploration of Music and Magic at the 2017 Hollywood Fringe Festival!

Music and magic have a deep and ancient connection in cultures all over the world. Mixing music, magic and story-telling, spanning the centuries from the birth of civilization to contemporary neuroscience, Incantesimo reveals the forgotten connection between music and magic hidden in plain sight.

Riccardo Berdini is an actor, director, singer, composer, stuntman and magician. He was awarded Best Italian Musical Theatre Performer twice for Jean Valjean (Les Miserables) and Pinocchio (Pinocchio). Other credits include: Danny Zuko (Grease), Fonzie (Happy Days), Leo Frank (Parade), Baker (Into the Woods). He was director and musical director for the Italian hit show Musical Stars and wrote, composed and directed the musical A Light in The Dark and The Halogen Child. He is a member of the Troubadours Company at the Falcon Theatre. He recently had his American movie debut in the feature “Body of Sin” directed by the Olson Brothers, as stunt coordinator and co-star. Chris Philpott is a screenwriter, director and magic creator. He’s written and directed three feature films: Fairytales and Pornography (winner, Best Director, Palm Beach International Film Festival), The Happy Couple (winner, Best Screenplay, Phoenix Film Festival) and The Eternal Husband (“superb” – The Globe and Mail). He also writes articles, novels and episodic television. Chris’ magical creations have been performed in theaters and on television around the world.

Fabio Valdemarin is an Italian pianist and multi-instrumentalist, arranger and composer. He worked, performing all over the world, with some of the most important italian artist (Ornella Vanoni, Fiorella Mannoia, Angelo Branduardi, Steff Burns League). As a musical director, arranger and composer he created music for many theatre shows, including his collaboration with the world-renowned master of quick change Arturo Brachetti.

Kathleen Breedyk has a masters in music theory and composition. Though her primary instrument is piano, five years ago she had a dream in which she was playing flute, so she bought one, started playing and will be playing it tonight.

Rodrigo Moreno is a Los Angeles based musician and producer. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from CSUN, where he studied jazz bass under the renowned direction of Gary Pratt and Darek Oles.

Gianluca Palmieri, from Naples, Italy, is a member of the Drum Faculty at Musicians Institute Hollywood. He has recorded and performed with Greg Howe, David Garfield, Maragold, Jennifer Batten, Shayna Steele, Kamasi Washington, For The Record Live, GENR8R, Rumer Willis and many others.
