BABYGIRL A Nostalgic Coming of Age Trip through 70's/80's Pop Culture!!

A one of a kind one woman play, Babygirl is tailormade for the Hollywood audience. Actress, playwright Kaypri, takes you through an exciting journey of her life which you can fully appreciate whether or not you grew up in the era of 70’s and 80’s television.

Babygirl tells the story of a self professed (bi-racial) pop-culture/hopeless romantic (with old parents) who goes through the growing pains of childhood, the peer pressures of adolescence…and finally to the realization that though media might be our first love, sometimes we have to press the off button to find ourselves.

In the summer of 2012, Kaypri performed as part of the DC Black Theatre Festival in Washington DC! This was the third festival Babygirl has been a part of since her fall debut in 2011! In March of 2012, Kaypri was invited to be part of the first ever Silver Lake Female Festival VOICED which also featured a run of Eve Ensler’s theatrical masterpiece, The Vagina Monologues.

In the fall of 2011, Kaypri self-produced a 6 Tuesday run at The Attic Theatre and Film Center in Los Angeles, which she followed up by participating in The Whitefire Theatre’s Annual Solo Series in Sherman Oaks.

Kaypri has worked with adolescent youth for over a decade which makes this production especially resonate with the pre-teen adolescent audience 8 years old and up! Afternoon showtimes make this a perfect family friendly event.

Babygirl is sure to please everyone with its hilarious take on growing up Babygirl as well as a poignant look at the disease of addiction.
