NAKED IN ALASKA: THE BEHIND-THE-SCENES STORY OF STRIPPING IN THE LAST FRONTIER

Actress VALERIE HAGER stars in her autobiographical, behind-the-scenes story of an exotic dancer searching for redemption in strip clubs from Mexico to Alaska to California in NAKED IN ALASKA.

In 2012 NAKED IN ALASKA was accepted into four NYC theatre festivals. Most recently NAKED IN ALASKA was accepted into the New Works, New Voices 2013 Series in Paris, France.

NAKED IN ALASKA sold out in November at the 13th Annual EstroGenius Festival 2012 held at TBG Theatre, 312 W. 36th St. New York, NY.

NAKED IN ALASKA premiered with a sold out house in the 7th Annual Women at Work Festival 2012 held at NYC’s Stage Left Studio. Laurie Lawson, Theatre Critic for Off-Broadway wrote, “Utilizing much humor and some very impressive pole dancing, the story unfolds as Valerie combines vulnerability and honesty with the survival skills needed to navigate the murky world of strip clubs and private party rooms…You will root for her indomitable spirit and celebrate the triumph of Valerie Hager in NAKED IN ALASKA.”

This 70-minute performance uses a stripper pole, archival video, and rock hits to take the audience on a magical ride through the experience of a young woman longing for a place where she feels welcome but continually pulled deeper into an adventure from which she may not return.

Hager is a solo show writer and actress living in New York City. Her recent theatrical performances include Forbidden Kiss at Stage Left Studio, a night of The Ensemble Workshop at The LAByrinth Theatre, and the role of Ann Miller in Meet the Lady at Tribeca’s 92Y.
