2011 Fringe Comedy Winner Lost Moon Radio Returns with All New Episode
LOS ANGELES, May 1, 2012 — LOST MOON RADIO blasts back to the Hollywood Fringe Festival with seven performances of EPISODE 12: “Night” between June 9 and 23. The group named “Best of Comedy” at the 2011 Hollywood Fringe presents a brand new hour of original songs, sketches and metaphysical ramblings on the theme of night. Everything that happens after dark will be brought to light on the Fringe Central stage by Lost Moon Radio’s crackerjack team of seasoned comedians and musicians.
Over its three years on the LA comedy scene, Lost Moon Radio has distinguished itself as a true stand out. Its 2009 holiday show earned the praise: “Off the charts. A show like SNL should just scoop up the entire cast of Lost Moon Radio” (LiveComedyLA.com). In June 2010, the LAist named Lost Moon Radio an “EDITOR’S PICK…make sure you get a chance to see this must-see show.” Stage and Cinema described their December 2011 show as “The Groundlings but with a better batting average.” Lost Moon Radio’s appearance at the 2011 Hollywood Fringe Festival earned them LA Weekly’s “Best of the Hollywood Fringe” distinction and the praise: “This sterling company is not at the Fringe to find their footing– they’re here to show everyone else how perfection can be accomplished” (Tony Frankel, Stage and Cinema). This spring, they entertained the LA theater world as the host of the 2012 LA Weekly Theatre Awards.
LOST MOON RADIO’s EPISODE 12: “Night” features actors Ryan Harrison, Lauren Flans, Martha Marion, Jen Burton, Frank Smith, and Dan Oster, as well as musicians Rich Ramberg, Michael Wells, Dylan Ris, and Brenton Kossak. LOST MOON RADIO is co-written by Ryan Harrison and Frank Smith, directed by Sam Roberts, produced by Monica Miklas, and stage managed by Gianna Masi.
Company members’ writing, production, and performance credits include Comedy Central, The Daily Show, MAD TV, American Dad, Boom Chicago, The Groundlings, The People’s Improv Theater, Mortified, Dave Eggers’ Wholphin, PBS films, Joe Dante Productions, Naxos Records, Summit Records, the Andy Summers Band, Orange County Symphony Orchestra, Civic Orchestra of Chicago, IndieCade, Striking Viking Story Pirates, Musical Theatre Los Angeles, Over the Moon Productions, and needtheater.
