Support Your Hollywood Fringe Community Members
We are saddened to know of at least 4 Hollywood Fringe community members who have lost their homes or business spaces in the recent fires in Los Angeles. Please consider donating to one of their funds to help bring back a sense of stability and community to our artists!
Emily Clark and Jeff Carey have dedicated nearly 10 years of their lives as two of the most giving and collaborative artists in our community. Both are commensurate producers and artists, we are all stunned by the loss of their home in Altadena. Please consider giving back to this deserving couple of Fringers.
If you’ve been to our awards ceremony, you’ve likely heard Mikey perform on our stage with the Moon Units. A generous community member to us all, it’s time to give back after he and his son lost their home in the Altadena fire.
Did you see the award-winning HFF23 show, Flayed? Well, founder of The Clown School David Bridel directed it. Please support recovery for David + his family in Altadena.
Top of Fringe HFF23 winner Claire Woolner and Fringe family member Kevin Krieger lost their venue, Public Displays of Altadena, and need your help to rebuild. So many HFF shows have been developed at this amazing community space, a vital performance space for clowns + comedians alike. Help PDA rebuild!
Robyn Migel has brought shows to the Fringe and also founded the first two runs of the “Women’s Voices Festival” at Namba Arts in Ventura. The Migel Family house burned as a result of the Altadena fires, please consider giving to Robyn and her family as they plan their next steps.
Unrelated to the wildfires, Fringe Family member Teruko Nakajima (2022 scholarship winner) needs our support after a recent fire in an upstairs unit; her home is no longer livable. Teruko is always the first to support her community, and this is our chance to do the same
Support Your Greater Artist Community
The Hollywood Fringe community is larger than our artists. With many in our local LA Theatre community affected, we want to share some additional LA theatre campaigns that we have been made aware of.
Azcarate Musical Theatre Family
We are a community that stands together, so many of our own have been affected by the devastating fires in our city. If you are a Fringer who is in need of support and has started a fundraiser, we want to make it easy for our community to support you- please send your fundraiser to [email protected], and we will continue to update this blog post to share within our community.
We are stronger together!
