Ciera Payton Prepares for the Fringe!
Hot Off of Prime Time television, Ciera Payton Prepares to Take Fringe Fest by Storm (Tuesday, April 24th, 2012- LOS ANGELES, CA)
Rising star, Ciera Payton, started April off with a bang. A bang filled with roles on hit TV shows, Body of Proof and The Mentalist just after hopping off the set of the film, Untitled Diablo Cody Project (fka Lamb of God) and finishing her recurring role on, Days of Our Lives. Now Payton is ready to hit the stage at this year’s, Hollywood Fringe Festival.
The Hollywood Fringe Festival is an annual celebration of the emerging arts. Fringe Festival opens unapologetic opinions, embraces underground mentality, and shows a deep passion for the cutting-edge.
Payton’s one woman show, Michael’s Daughter is not only unapologetic, but underground in thought and cutting edge in style. In Michael’s Daughter, Payton ventures through an unsteady path of adulthood which surprisingly leads her to her family roots. Payton depicts her incarcerated father, Michael Frosch, her “tell it like it is” Aunt Kathy, her beauty queen mother Deborah; the sensual voodoo priestess, Marie Laveau and herself in a way that evokes laughter, tears, and every emotion in between. Payton makes the audience fall in love with her story and family.
So, yes, Payton started off April with a bang and she will start June off with a blow. A blow that lovers of theatre will not only appreciate, but enjoy. Michael’s Daughter will have four performances (June 7th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd) at 7:00PM at The Complex Theatre Hollywood.
