Lost Moon Radio Invites Press to June 11 Preview

LOS ANGELES, June 6, 2011 – LOST MOON RADIO crash lands at the 2nd annual Hollywood Fringe Festival with seven performances between June 11 – 25 at Fringe Central at ArtWorks Theatre. As the top-selling production in the 2010 Hollywood Fringe Festival, LOST MOON RADIO earned a nomination for the “Fringe Award for Comedy” and was named an “Editor’s Pick” by Laist. Critics describe LOST MOON RADIO as “The Groundlings but with a better batting average…Lost Moon Radio shows the potential to be the live radio show for the new millennium generation" and “Off the charts. A show like SNL should just scoop up the entire cast of Lost Moon Radio. It would be a hundred times better."

LOST MOON RADIO is a live comedy and music event that mixes original songs, sketches, and reflections on the modern age. At each installment, audiences watch as iconoclastic disc jockey Jupiter Jack spins tracks on his late-night rock ’n roll radio show. But when Jack “plays” a record, what we actually see are sketches and songs performed live by onstage actors and a five-piece band.

LOST MOON RADIO’s Episode 10 delves into the realm of “Travel and Journeys,” exploring all the ways we get from here to there and, hopefully, back again. In this epic quest through the comedy universe, Jupiter Jack will play tracks on everything from road trips to time travel and spring break to staycations. Audiences seeking an evening of smart, exuberant, and lovingly crafted comedy will not be disappointed.

LOST MOON RADIO features actors Ryan Harrison, Matt McKenna, Lauren Flans, Martha Marion, Dan Mahoney, and Dan Oster, as well as musicians Rich Ramberg, Michael Wells, Dylan Ris,and Brenton Kossak. LOST MOON RADIO is co-written by Ryan Harrison and Frank Smith, directed by Lauren Ludwig, produced by Monica Miklas, and stage managed by Ariel Shepherd-Oppenheim.

Company members’ writing, production, and performance credits include Comedy Central, The Daily Show, MAD TV, American Dad, Boom Chicago, The Groundlings, The People’s Improv Theater, Mortified, Dave Eggers’ Wholphin, PBS films, Joe Dante Productions, Naxos Records, Summit Records, the Andy Summers Band, Orange County Symphony Orchestra, Civic Orchestra of Chicago, IndieCade, Striking Viking Story Pirates, Musical Theatre Los Angeles, and needtheater.
