70’S ICON TELLY SAVALAS COMES BACK FROM THE DEAD IN BREAKTHROUGH LOUNGE ACT AT HOLLYWOOD FRINGE FEST
Tom DiMenna Embodies the Legend In “Who Loves You, Baby?”
Premiering June 18, 2011 At the Improv Olympic Theater Dir. by Taylor Negron
Los Angeles, CA – May xx, 2011 – Telly Savalas (or Kojak as he is more widely known) is making his post-humous debut in Who Loves You, Baby?, a surreal retro-lounge act starring Tom DiMenna and directed by Taylor Negron (Fast Times At Ridgemont High, The Last Boyscout). The latest incarnation of the cult-hit show will premiere at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in the Improv Olympic Theater on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 11pm for a show run until Sunday, June 26th.
“Telly’s an angel now. A messenger. Working for the Big Guy In the Sky.” And he’s here to teach the cynical hipsters of today a thing or two about what it means to be a real man. Telly’s got a beautiful sermon for you, baby, and he’s going to deliver it with a lot of piano-backed singing (often while smoking), penetrating gazes at the women in the audience and occasionally brandishing a .45 revolver.
Truly a fresh face in the vintage world, and with nothing but a bald-cap and lounge lizard suit, Tom DiMenna channels pitch-perfect that iconic brand of 70’s masculinity every night he goes on stage. But also shares it on YouTube. For a taste of the show, as well as some useful Telly Tips, go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oeqQ3cMMx2w.

The final show will be on Sunday, June 26th at 8pm. All performances will be at the Improv Olympic Theater on 6366 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, CA, between N. Cahuenga & Vine St. Tickets are $10.
