It's a pleasure to watch artists who are dedicated to their craft. Definition of Man, is exactly that. Add on to that an incredible amount of physical work and you have yourself a must see at the Fringe. ... full review

A welcome addition to the Fringe festival in pacing, movement, content, and emotion, which were all used very well in telling the story.... full review

A striking and beautiful blend of language, physicality and acting; just when I thought one aspect was the most dominating, I was thrown for a loop. All three elements are given their due in this thought-provoking and gorgeous production. Connection and communication are perpetually maddening, necessary and often transcendent. Each quality is brought into stark relief when boiled down from the crush of humanity to the struggles of two individuals aching to crack this eternal human puzzle. The power and grace of the performers energizes the lovely language and gives us one of the best of the Fringe. Big recommend!... full review

This is a strong physical theatre piece that is as much an extended scene about the nature of relationships between men and women as it is a movement piece. Really enjoyed it!... full review

This is a beautifully written, intelligently staged, brilliantly performed and moving piece of theater. My Fringe favorite so far, I was physically unable to keep myself from leaping to my feet after the show. I was so moved I could barely speak. Don't let the tag "movement theater" scare you, this play should not be missed. I wholeheartedly agree with others who have said it should be touring, everywhere. It will hit you in the gut, make you laugh, cry and most importantly, it will make you think about your own place in the world and how you relate to those you love. GO!... full review

Definition of Man is a gorgeous, thoughtful and provocative piece that stayed with me for days. XX (Nicki Muller) and XY (Jason Rosario) are the last two people on earth, and yet, even as they need one another to survive, they struggle to communicate as their relationship grows distant from the blooming love it’d once enjoyed. This philosophical gem, developed by both actors and written by Muller, uses language(s), movement, music, and even great silence to explore the existential crises not just in greater humanity and within themselves, but in the micro-moment flashes of a wilting relationship. Brilliant writing, wonderfully performed and deftly directed (JJ Mayes). Highly recommend. Go! ... full review

Definition of Man bravely faces a mirror towards all of us. How do we ignore ourselves and our partners, and how can we overcome our misunderstandings and insecurities? ... full review

Definition of Man is a delight of moment and emotional exploration of the dynamics between genders. It is well acted, written and produced. Nikki and Jason were both emotionally accessible and naturalistic which woks wounders in an intimate space such as this. JJ has a solid grasp on the stage picture and has held together a reflective gem.... full review
