This was a very creative, important and funny show. Ian Farley is a supremely talented comedic performer who also manages to relay a message of forgotten black soldiers that should be told. Farley found ways to tell his story through the use of numerous props, puppets, and sheer comic talent. He takes us on a journey with his story and makes forgotten heroes known (as the title suggests) but also lets everyone know who he is, a special talent that should be seen, heard and enjoyed.... full review

If you like shadow-puppets with sound effects, this is a show for you. Uses childlike storytelling entertainment to capture a layered soldier's story.... full review

A surprisingly avant-garde, poignant, and charming performance by Ian as he leads you down a journey into history as filtered through his psyche. Felt like a Charlie Kaufman kind of experience. Well done.... full review

Ian Farley turns in stunning tour de force show. Uninvisible is the battle cry of a true clown. The show is a theatrical homage to his lineage as a military brat discovering his voice and place as an artist. There are many well crafted and truly inspired audience interactive elements. I’d be lying if I didnt tell you that I wish I came up with this bit Ian does with his hand. Pure perfection from an exceptional devisor. ... full review

A surprisingly poignant look at how dispensable yet relied upon black men are to America, specifically in the military. I was able to get carried away at laughing at the absurdity of what was presented to me, and several times snapped back into the tragedies presented to me. ... full review

Thanks to Ian's authentic and contagious playfulness, we almost forget that this show tells a sad story: war and forgotten soldiers. A difficult topic seen through the eyes of a clown. The show is funny, light, and sweet. The only disappointment will be when it ends.... full review

A show where we're let in to the world of a character who is making friends with history and honor and duty and loneliness -- all through play and shadows. Farley is a multimedia artist who makes precise paper shadow puppets, and he uses these to tell the story of his grandfather and his father serving in the US Army. He celebrates the accomplishments of Black soldiers in the United States and mourns their invisibility. The puppetry is a simple, effective means to deliver that ambiguity. Then we're in his world of play, where he plays soldier and reveals his heart and himself to us. ... full review
