From Toilet to Tinseltown has a clever premise in theory. In practice, it is 30 minutes of Moaning Mrytle whining, with the occasional one-liner thrown in. Her journey to and around Hollywood is a scathing indictment of the city and all of its inhabitants. This was clever and witty for a joke or two, but it failed to lend any substance or growth to the character. As half of the play revolved around this, it got old fast. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, but I can't jump on board with this fanfic....

THIS SHOW IS SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!! She takes the character from the books and turns her into a fully realized character. I loved every reference and the story. Definitely one to see! ...

A hilarious take on the one person genre, using pop culture references, Harry Potter, and not a small amount of snark and self deprecation. Even if you think you know where this one is going, you are in for surprises. Maddie Patrick delivers a fresh take on a character seldom seen outside of a bathroom stall. Must see!...

Maddie as Myrtle giving you all the sass and whit you want and then some. It's the Myrtle you want and didn't know you needed, and her ghostly glide through out the show was dope and very well done. Go see the show to see how she pulls it off!!!...

Really funny one-person-show! I'm only a casual HP fan, but I knew enough to get me through the show. The majority of the show is a satire on a creepy character who will do anything for Hollywood stardom. There's plenty of pop-culture references that get ripped up along the way. This is a MUST for fans of dark humor....

I'm not a Harry Potter person -at all- so I was a little nervous I'd be totally lost with the references. I'm sure there were a lot of inside jokes for he HP fans, but it was still so enjoyable and hilarious for someone like me. Maddie is so talented, and the whole thing was a lot of fun. ...
