Michael Evans Lopez is an amazing performer. He is able to subtly engage and shift characterization to tell a complex, bizarre - and quite often charming - story directed very, very well by Maria Pasquarelli. I was fascinated to see where the story would take me, and surprised...and sometimes confused...but I was glad to be on the ride. For me, the storyline with the dog and the neighbor were the most engaging. I could see Danny and Buddy on all kinds of adventures together! Great work!... full review

I thoroughly enjoyed this show. The narrative, and the characters are not handed to you on a plate, but unfold naturally and organically. As I sat watching this, I thought to myself “Michael Lopez is an actor who loves acting”. I don't mean that in the way that an actor can be showy or relish being the center of attention. I mean it in the way of an actor who truly loves the craft, who has a keen observation of people and works to find the humanity and specific vulnerability in all of his characters . The first half of the show I was reminded of Taxi Driver, the way DeNiro truly went into the mind of a lonely man who constructs his own framework to get through a crazy and sometimes cruel world. ... full review

This show is not at all what I expected. But it was awesome. Michael Lopez's character is quite an unlikely and unexpected protagonist (based on personal circumstances that, if revealed, would spoil a great many of the show's surprises), but a protagonist that we wind up firmly in the corner of, just the same. Great story, great characters. I hope he brings this show back in the future.... full review
