Cheers for writer/actress Cyanne Martin for bringing to life - BACK to life! - an incredible story of strength, struggle and faith. Her auto-biographical show is so inspiring, so vulnerable - and THEN we meet a gaggle of fun and fascinating characters that she plays with grace, and fun, and charm. Even during a preview with some technical snafus, she didn't miss a BEAT and performed with such natural confidence, courage and passion. This is an inspired solo-performance! ... full review

This one woman show was charming, touching, funny, fast moving and thought provoking. Cyanne Martin is a gifted actress and good storyteller. Her many characters were consistent in their affect even though they change in machine gun rapidity as the stories call them up from her soul. She carries her audience along on her journey of self discovery. From a youth focused on living all she could because she did not believe she had much time here, through a medical nightmare of procedures and ultimately seeing there was something worth living for. She is aided in this discovery ghosts of her past and her imagination. Well worth the time, it still is in the forefront of my thoughts 3 days later. ... full review

I saw the show on preview night (yes, it's taken me this long to finally get to my reviews), but this show is still strong in my memory so I think that's saying something. Cyanne's story pulled me in and kept me interested the whole way through. And knowing that this is inspired from a true to life experience I applaud her hard work and dedication to get her story up on the boards. Cyanne is charming, spirited, and wonderfully energetic on stage. I look forward to seeing more of her work. ... full review

To me theatre is best when the world around is suspended, and reality becomes only what is on stage. I Died… I Came Back… Whatever did just this. It feels as if you’re traveling along with Cyanne as she revisits her hardships, and her joys, taking small lessons from each scene. These lessons slowly build until there is a final grand lesson; a lesson that will touch your heart, or Cyanne’s heart. After all she was having heart surgery. Cyanne Martin's one-woman show mixes warmth and humor with brutal reminiscences of a young woman dealing with heart surgeries from the age of three. Her take on heaven, though familiar, is hilarious, and could only have come from the mind of an actor. One can see traces of Bob Fosse, as well as "It's A Wonderful Life". Her performance is startling, moving effortlessly between well-physicalized and specific characters, as well as emotional peaks and valleys, at the drop of a hat. There was a technical glitch the night I went, (ah, live theater!) and Cyanne covered it with improvised humor that kept the audience rooted and in the moment. A great night of theater, and a spectacular accomplishment. ... full review

Kudos to Cyanne for bringing out the range of emotions that "that moment" brings to us all. It was a Bravura performance and well worth watching again by all./ C. Young../ Cyanne's Solo was outstanding. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Full of surprises, one minute sad the next hilarious and emotional. Also the variety of the many characters was astounding. Cyanne is certainly multi-talented and headed for Fame. I definitely recommend seeing her story.../ S. Young... full review
