With Fancy everything is big. Her hair, her voice, her stage presence, but most of all her heart. Chris Farah is an amazing performer who cares deeply about her show and her audience. There is wonderful specificity and spontaneity throughout the performance. One second the audience was roaring with laughter and the next silent because she was wowing us with her voice. THIS IS A MUST SEE. Bring a date and grab a drink. It should probably be a second or third date. What a voice. What a show. Fancy had the audience in stitches and in the palm of her hand from the get go. Never missing a beat and never missing an opportunity to read the room and give the audience what it wants, Fancy gives a stellar performance that seemed to fly by. Hilarious! Fancy brings old world prostitution into the modern age. Love the interactive option by incorporating a live Twitter feed at one point in her show. Great in-the-moment comedy. ... full review

The perfect storm: Hilarious material, a genuinely gifted comedic actor with masterful comedic pacing, a rocking audience fully into the event---many texted her realtime sex-advice questions, and her improv replies repeatedly brought down the house---all tossed into the back room of a working Hollywood bar. I cannot recall a Fringe audience more demonstratively "into" a show. The "penisist" (pianist) was the ideal foil with spot-on chops. Sorry I didn't catch this until the last scheduled performance, but this seems a natural for the Fringe Extension. So, hopefully, I'll go again, bring friends, and this time bring in a drink from the front bar. ... full review

My oh my do I LOVE Fancy Jean! The minute Fancy Jean sets foot on the stage she is in total command and boy, what a performance! This was the first time I have ever had the pleasure of seeing Chris Farah perform and she's absolutely incredible! She is hysterically funny and has some amazing pipes on her to boot! A true powerhouse. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard. If any Fringe show deserves an encore, it's Fancy: Secrets From My Bootydoir!
