Millions of American children loved their summer camp experience. Adam Gropman was not one of them. Raised in a semi-bohemian Boston household by “hippie-adjacent” parents, chronically homesick Adam was sent, at age 10, to the most rugged, stripped-down, outdoorsy summer camp in New England.

A 20 something girl tells the story of her so-far meaningless yet holding-out-hope-for-grandeur life in an admittedly awkward, unapologetically silly, and merrily self-deprecating light as she searches to find the dreams and fearlessness she had as a child.
